Where to stay in Manchester for Oasis

With 11 big stadium nights at the Etihad Stadium (4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25 and 26 June 2027), rooms in Manchester will be in short supply. These are the areas that work best, ranked by how easy the trip home is after the encore.

  1. 01about 2.5 km

    Northern Quarter

Independent bars, record shops and late-night food, with an easy walk or tram ride to the stadium.

  2. 02about 1.5 km

    Ancoats & New Islington

The closest central neighbourhood to the Etihad, full of apartments and some of the city's best restaurants.

  3. 03about 3 km

    Piccadilly

Next to the main station and the tram to Etihad Campus, with a big choice of chain hotels.

  4. 04about 4 km

    Deansgate & Spinningfields

Smarter hotels and bars on the west side of the centre, a tram or taxi ride from the stadium.

  5. 05about 7 km

    Salford Quays & MediaCity

Often cheaper on show nights, with trams across the city, but allow extra time getting back.

Booking tips for show nights

Book a refundable rate as soon as you have tickets, then keep checking: prices around stadium concerts tend to peak in the final fortnight, but cancellations also appear in show week. If Manchester itself is full, the last option on this list is a realistic fallback, as long as you check the last train or transfer back before you book.

Whichever area you choose, the route to the Etihad matters more than the distance. The simplest route to the Etihad Stadium is the Metrolink tram to Etihad Campus, around 10 minutes from Piccadilly, or a 30 to 35 minute walk from the city centre along Ashton New Road. Parking near the stadium is limited and must usually be booked in advance. See getting to the Etihad for every option.
